LOVODEX is a private dating record, editorial guide, reflection tool and reading/listening library.

LOVODEX is operated by:

LOVODEX is not a dating or matchmaking service.

It does not:

• introduce users to one another;
• provide user profiles for discovery;
• host communication between users;
• match romantic partners;
• determine compatibility.

LOVODEX is intended for users aged 16 or older.

By using LOVODEX, you confirm that you meet the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction and have any parental or guardian authorization required by local law.

When you lawfully purchase or download LOVODEX, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app and its content for your own private, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and the rules of the platform from which you obtained it.

You do not acquire ownership of LOVODEX, its software, books, illustrations, audio, trademarks or editorial content.

LOVODEX is designed to help you record your own experiences.

You control what you enter.

You are responsible for:

• the accuracy of information you choose to record;
• keeping your device secure;
• protecting backup files and passwords;
• using information about other people lawfully;
• deciding what conclusions, if any, you draw from your records.

LOVODEX does not verify whether information you record about another person is accurate.

LOVODEX may identify factual patterns based on information you record.

Features including Notices, Receipts, My Patterns and Your Wiring are designed for organization, reflection and recognition.

They do not determine:

• whether another person is good or bad;
• whether a relationship is safe or unsafe;
• whether someone is compatible with you;
• whether a relationship will succeed;
• whether you should begin, continue or end a relationship.

LOVODEX keeps the record. You decide what it means.

LOVODEX provides general editorial, educational and reflective content.

It is not a substitute for professional:

• medical advice;
• mental-health care;
• psychological diagnosis;
• therapy;
• legal advice;
• financial advice;
• emergency assistance.

Some LOVODEX material discusses emotional wellbeing, heartbreak, bodily responses to stress, sex, relationships and related topics.

Such material is general information and editorial content, not individualized healthcare.

If you have a medical, psychological, safety or emergency concern, contact an appropriately qualified professional or emergency service.

Your Wiring is a non-clinical reflection feature.

It does not provide:

• a diagnosis;
• an attachment classification;
• a personality type;
• an overall score;
• a compatibility assessment;
• professional psychological evaluation.

Its results reflect how you answered the questions at a particular point in time.

LOVODEX includes original editorial material by Aleks Filmore and associated LOVODEX content, which may include:

• The Worst Boyfriends Ever;
• ALMOST;
• Terms of Living;
• Modern Love Index / Ask LOVODEX;
• Field Guides;
• illustrations;
• audiobook recordings;
• chapter summaries and editorial metadata.

Comic typologies, pattern names and editorial labels are literary or reflective devices.

They are not clinical diagnoses.

Unless otherwise stated, LOVODEX and its associated content are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual-property laws.

This includes:

• software;
• interface design;
• logos;
• names;
• written content;
• books;
• illustrations;
• graphics;
• audio;
• editorial taxonomies;
• marketing material.

You may use the content only for normal personal use within LOVODEX.

Except where permitted by law, you may not:

• reproduce substantial portions of the content;
• republish it;
• resell it;
• distribute it;
• scrape or systematically extract it;
• create competing databases from it;
• publicly perform or redistribute audiobook files;
• remove rights-management notices;
• use LOVODEX branding in a misleading way.

Nothing in these Terms limits uses that applicable copyright law expressly permits.

You must not use LOVODEX to:

• harass or threaten another person;
• stalk another person;
• publish private or intimate information without lawful authority;
• defame another person;
• facilitate unlawful discrimination;
• violate intellectual-property rights;
• violate privacy or data-protection law;
• interfere with the app’s security;
• attempt unauthorized access to systems;
• distribute malware;
• use automated systems to scrape or extract protected content at scale;
• use LOVODEX for unlawful purposes.

LOVODEX is intended as a private personal tool.

Private LOVODEX records are stored locally on your device.

There is no LOVODEX cloud account containing a recoverable copy of your private dating records.

You are responsible for creating and safely keeping encrypted backups if you want an independent recovery copy.

Data may become unrecoverable if, for example:

• the device is lost or damaged;
• the app is deleted;
• device storage is reset;
• encryption credentials are lost;
• a backup password is lost;
• no usable backup exists.

We cannot recover data that we do not possess.

LOVODEX may allow you to create encrypted portable backups.

You are responsible for:

• choosing where backups are stored;
• protecting backup files;
• protecting the password required to restore them;
• complying with the terms of any third-party storage service you use.

We do not guarantee that a backup will remain available if it is deleted, corrupted, modified, lost or rendered inaccessible by a third-party provider.

Although private records are local-first, LOVODEX may connect to the internet to:

• stream public audiobook content;
• download public audiobook files;
• access public product/support information where applicable.

Private dating-record content is not intentionally included in audiobook-delivery requests.

LOVODEX is currently offered as a one-time paid application, without a recurring LOVODEX subscription.

Purchases are processed by the app store through which you obtain the app.

Your purchase is also subject to that store’s terms.

Refund eligibility and procedures may depend on:

• the store;
• your country;
• the timing of the request;
• mandatory consumer law.

Google, for example, maintains its own Play refund rules, including specific rules for users in the EEA and UK.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law.

We may:

• add features;
• remove features;
• change interface elements;
• improve security;
• correct errors;
• update editorial material;
• modify technical requirements.

Some updates may require a newer operating-system version or device capability.

We do not guarantee indefinite support for every historical device, operating system or app version.

We aim to keep public LOVODEX content and support resources available, but continuous availability is not guaranteed.

Access may occasionally be interrupted because of:

• maintenance;
• network outages;
• hosting failures;
• app-store restrictions;
• security issues;
• legal requirements;
• circumstances outside our control.

Downloaded and locally stored functionality may continue to work where technically possible.

Your use of LOVODEX may also involve third-party platforms such as:

• Apple App Store;
• Google Play;
• iOS;
• Android;
• device authentication services;
• file-storage services you independently choose.

Those platforms are governed by their own agreements.

LOVODEX is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

lovodex.com may link to external websites, including app stores and aleksfilmore.com.

External websites are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

A link does not automatically mean LOVODEX endorses every statement, product or service on that third-party site.

LOVODEX is a record and reflection tool.

We do not promise that use of LOVODEX will:

• improve a relationship;
• prevent heartbreak;
• identify deception;
• predict someone’s behavior;
• improve dating outcomes;
• prevent harmful conduct;
• provide complete or objectively correct conclusions about another person.

Human relationships are complex, incomplete records can produce incomplete summaries, and you remain responsible for your own decisions.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LOVODEX is provided on an “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

• the software will always be error-free;
• every function will work on every device;
• public content will always be available;
• locally stored data can always be recovered;
• editorial material will be suitable for every individual circumstance.

This section does not exclude statutory warranties, conformity rights, consumer guarantees or other rights that cannot legally be waived.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising solely from use of or inability to use LOVODEX.

In particular, LOVODEX is not responsible for personal decisions you make based on:

• private records you entered;
• editorial content;
• Notices;
• reflections;
• relationship patterns;
• Your Wiring results.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

Where permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for losses or claims resulting from your unlawful misuse of LOVODEX or your infringement of another person’s rights.

This clause does not apply where prohibited by mandatory consumer law.

We may restrict access to online LOVODEX services where reasonably necessary because of:

• unlawful use;
• abuse;
• security threats;
• infringement of rights;
• legal obligations.

Because private records are local, discontinuation of an online service does not mean we gain access to those records.

We may update these Terms when:

• LOVODEX changes;
• legal requirements change;
• store rules change;
• technical infrastructure changes.

The latest Terms will be published at:

Where a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where legally required.

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and applicable app-store terms, form the agreement governing your use of LOVODEX.
